At Kilimanjaro Trekker & Safari, we specialize in both group and private tours to the summit of Kilimanjaro. While it may not be the cheapest tour available, our reasonable cost makes it a great value for your money. We also offer a variety of packages and services to make sure your climb is tailored to your individual needs. Our goal is to make the journey as comfortable and rewarding as possible. To achieve this, we limit our group size to 12 climbers, ensuring that everyone has plenty of space and comfort during their climb.  We also guarantee that every climb leaves regardless of the number of people signed up, making Kilimanjaro the perfect destination for single climbers, couples, or whoever wants to meet and climb with other people.  Many climbers prefer to join groups that have already made reservations, especially those who are climbing alone.  For our group climbs, we only offer the best routes, with the highest success rates, additional acclimatization days and during the best time of the year.  Group climbs routes include: 9 day Northern Circuit, 8 day Lemosho, 7 day Rongai and 7 day Machame. We have listed our pre-planned Kilimanjaro dates above, so you can see which group you can join.  Typically, the groups are made up of Americans, but almost every group also includes a sizeable number of climbers from English-speaking nations like Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand.

What's included in our standard package?

  • 2 night hotel - 1 night before the trek and 1 night after the trek in Moshi

  • Breakfast at the hotel

  • Tanzania VAT, camping fees, park fees, Kilimanjaro National Park rescue fees, successful summit attempt certificate

  • Transfers from Moshi to and from the route gate(s)

  • An appropriate number of guides, porters, and cooks for your group

  • Emergency oxygen and first aid kit (only for emergencies)

  • 3 meals daily - breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and hot drinks on the mountain

  • 3 person sleeping tent(s) - double occupancy, dining tent(s) tables and chairs

  • Portable private toilets for the trek with the tent

  • Sleeping mattress pad(s)

  • Salaries for porters, guides and cooks per the MINISTRY OF TOURISM AND NATURAL RESOURCES and KPAP

Additional Services

  • Transport to and from Kilimanjaro Airport $25/person one way

  • Single supplement, for a single tent/room, costs $250 per trip

  • Extra porter for excess gear $30/day

  • Extra Day on the Mountain $350/person

  • Extra night at a hotel in Moshi $100/night (check in 2PM, check out 10AM, double room)

  • Sleeping bag rental, Mountain Hardware Lamina, synthetic -30F, cost $50/trip

  • Telescopic trekking poles rental $20/trip

  • Mount Meru climb $1,799/person for 2+ climbers (4 days/3 nights + 2 nights hotel), solo climber $2,269

How much to tip?

  • Guide – $25 to $30/day per group

  • Assistant Guide & Chef – $15 to 20/day per group

  • Porters – $10 to $15/day per porter per group

$200 per person discount for Kilimanjaro climbs during the low season (April, May and November) available only for experienced climbers.
